Research Services

Operating as a professional genealogist, Jonathan is based in the historic Hawkesbury region of New South Wales (NSW). Operating under the family business of Tizzana Management Services Pty Ltd which includes the historic Tizzana Winery Jonathan has assisted many families with their research.

Using all NSW resources and repositories for family and local history, Jonathan's main focus and experience is with Hawkesbury families, land and cemetery records, 

His special interests lie in 

  • Tracking down Scottish Births, Deaths and Marriage / Census records
  • Australian military
  • NSW land records
  • Research and document retrieval service at State Records NSW

A keen photographer, Jonathan has an interest in late 19th century photographers and photographs, giving several talks on identifying these types of photographs for family historians. With an Information Technology background talks are also given on preservation and digitisation to archival standards.

  1. Auld/Sherwood family photograph album. Hi Jon, I am from Armidale family History Group and yesterday I received a photo album that contains many unnamed original photos. It includes a named portrait of "David Auld- fathers sister Emily's husband" and a baby photo of Frances Sherwood. Who can I speak to that may recognise some of the photos, which include two Solomons Photographic Studios Armidale portraits and two from Perroux Armidale or Toowoomba, among others. Regards Di
